Gypsum is added to mushroom growing substrates providing calcium and sulfur.
 
Gypsum also helps spawn substrate break-up making it easier to mix when needed.
 
Use at a 2-5% ratio for best results. This usage rate is best measured off the dry-weight of the substrate. 
 
Can be beneficial for all mushroom kits and beds.
 
Gypsum is generally PH-7 meaning it is neutral and does not affect the substrate's PH much.
