Ready to inoculate all-in-one mushroom grow bag. 1.6kg of sterile grain and compost combined for a single-step mushroom growing solution! Recommended to be inoculated with liquid culture or spore syringes.
These bags are the simplest way to grow your own mushrooms from liquid culture or spore syringe, simply inject 2-10cc of your mushroom culture into the grain in the bottom of the bag, tape the hole with micropore tape and leave to incubate.
The grain in the bottom of the bag fortified with gypsum provides perfect nutrition for your mushroom culture - meaning you achieve a great yield. Nutrient compost on top helps encourage vigorous mushroom pin sets and fruit body production. Each bag is optimally hydrated for strong mycelium growth.
Once fruit body growth begins you can cut the corner off the bag for some more airflow depending on the strain/species you are growing - some special mushrooms like our native Tawaka will fruit well with the air exchange provided by the filter patch on the bag.
Inoculation to harvest can be as little as 30 days but some species and strains maybe up to 60+. Incubate bags at 18-25 degrees once inoculated.
Bags are heat sterilized @ 15PSI and sealed in the Sporeshift Lab, they are wrapped in another plastic bag to ensure sterility is maintained upon delivery. These bags do not come with additional instructions.
