Cloning A Mushroom:

This product paired with a distilled water syringe can be used to easily clone a mushroom at home.

View the Sporeshift video of the process here :  >> How to clone a mushroom

Steps:

  1. Take a fresh mushroom and break or cut in half. Don't touch the inner tissue that you plan to clone from.
  2. The core of the mushroom is naturally sterile, meaning we can get a piece of clean tissue free of contamination.
  3. Use the needle of a distilled water syringe to carefully get a piece of tissue inside the needle hole. Push needle into the clean mushroom tissue, twisting as you slide needle in.
  4. Remove needle and inject into Mushroom Cloning Solution vial.
  5. You should now have a tiny piece of mushroom tissue in the nutrient solution. (see product images)
  6. Leave to incubate for 7-14 days at 20-25 degrees celsius - shaking gently for a few second each day to stop mycelium clumping.
  7. You will notice strands of mycelium growth in the vial—this is normal and a sign of healthy development. (see product image)
  8. Your LC is now ready to use.
  9. Suck up some LC with a new >> syringe and inject into a bag of >> sterile grain or our >> all in one mushroom grow bag.

Healthy vials of Liquid culture can be stored in the fridge or cool cupboard out of direct light for generally 1+ year and the culture remain viable. Storage viability will differ with species.

TESTIMONIALS

"Excellent service!

Sporeshift have consistently got the best service of any online provider I have used. From the time of order to delivery the communication is great. I frequently wonder why other businesses can't to it the way they do. Excellence in action. And no, I am not their mother ... just a satisfied customer and mushroom lover. :)"

"Loving watching the magic of the growth cycle and increasing our own food security and self reliance in the process! My kindy wildlings are loving the video updates of how they're going each day! Excited to extend my varieties next. Oysters were definitely a winner on a magenta spreen, thyme, white sauce and olive pizza tonight!!"
